Anotace je stručným popisem, který shrnuje a/nebo hodnotí daný zdroj - současně komentuje jeho hodnotu a relevanci. Může se týkat následujících témat:
*content of the resource
*obsah zdroje
*usefulness and/or scope of the resource
*užitečnost a/nebo rozsah zdroje
*limitations of the resource
*nedostatky a omezení
*usefulness and aoudience
*užitečnost pro konkrétní čtenáře

Anotace je stručným popisem, který shrnuje a/nebo hodnotí daný zdroj - současně komentuje jeho hodnotu a relevanci. Může se týkat následujících témat:

  • obsah zdroje
  • užitečnost a/nebo rozsah zdroje
  • nedostatky a omezení
  • užitečnost pro konkrétní čtenáře
  • hodnocení použitých metod (výzkumu)
  • hodnocení spolehlivosti a/nebo autorův profil
  • diskuse a závěry
  • signifikantní nebo zvláštní rysy práce
  • osobní reakce na text

Typ anotace

Indikativní

  • Popisuje rozsah zdroje, vyjmenovává nejdůležitější témata, říká, o čem text pojednává; je kratší než informativní anotace protože neuvádí žádné skutečné informace z obsahu (hypotézy, důkazy).

Informativní

  • Shrnuje obsah zdroje: začíná tezí, vyjmenovává hlavní argumenty a důkazy, ukončena závěrem.

Hodnotící

  • Hodnotí zdroj, uvádí jeho silné a slabé stránky.

Kombinovaná

  • Nječastěji užívaná forma anotace: jednou či dvěma větami shruje obsah a jednou či dvěma větami hodnotí zdroj.
